Mother and her children on Sunday escaped death in Dutse, Jigawa state capital after a vehicle rammed into a residential building, sparking a massive fire that destroyed four houses.
The Public Relations Officer, Jigawa Police command, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adams command confirmed the incident to TVC News on Monday.
He said the incident happened in the early hours of December 29, 2024.

The police spokesperson further stated that two suspects, Muhammad Galadima, 32, and Abdullahi Abubakar Sadiq, 41, both of the same address, were suspected to be under the influence of alcohol.
He said preliminary investigation revealed that Galadima, the owner of the vehicle, handed over the keys to Sadiq, who confessed to not knowing how to drive. The vehicle, a Toyota Corolla with registration number NSR 120 BC, crashed into the residential building, collapsing the wall and driving straight into the living room where a woman and her children were sleeping..
He added that both suspects and the vehicle have been taken into custody for diligent investigation.
