Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu said MFM FC will progress to the first round of the CAF Champions League by winning the return leg against AS Real Bamako in Lagos.

The return fixture will come up in a fortnight at the Agege Stadium, Lagos.
Elsewhere, Nigerian champions Plateau United started their campaign in the competition on a resounding note by defeating Eding Sports of Cameroon 3-0 at the New Jos Stadium on Sunday.
In the CAF Confederation Cup, Akwa United fell 2-1 at home to Banjul Hawks of Gambia. It was Abdu Maikaba’s men’s first defeat at home in all competitions this season.
