Today marks the seventh day of the flood disaster that has destroyed thousands of houses, businesses, and hospitals in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.
The Borno state government has now increased its efforts to provide food and other necessities to lessen the burden of the victims.
Over 400,000 people displaced are currently taking refuge at 36 Camps in Maiduguri.
This morning, the state governor, Babagana Zulum visited about 12 camps and shared food and cash to families taking refuge at the camps.
The governor says more intervention is needed to cater for the needs of not only those in camps but for everyone who is affected.
