eyitayo-jegede-tvcThe governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Ondo State, Eyitayo Jegede (SAN ), has promised to create jobs for youths. He said his economic blue print will salvage the state.

Jegede promised to attract investors to Ondo State to boost its economy.

Fielding questions from reporters in Akure, the state capital, the legal luminary said the challenges of the time demanded great leadership.

The former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice said the legacies of previous governments will be protected, adding that he will use the experience he had acquired in government over the years to develop the state.

The PDP candidate said he had a clear idea of what he wanted to do as governor.

Jegede added: “There is a very clear idea of what I want to do. I have a clear policy of what i want to do, especially in the area job creation and the economy”

The flag bearer urged the women to support his bid, promising not to fail them.

Urging them to be ready to take up responsibilities, he said women would not be denied the opportunity of engagement on account of gender.

Jegede said women would be empowered under his government, adding that an additional micro credit scheme will be created to give them opportunities to own businesses.

He said his government will take another look at the protective laws for the womenfolk as they affect inheritance, personal property and commerce.
