Natives of Ovrode community in Isoko North local government area of Delta state block Ughelli-Asaba expressway in protest over inadequate basic amenities in their area despite being oil producing community.
The protest has however grounded vehicular movement in the area.
The protesters seek the attention of the state government, the Niger Delta Development Commission and federal government to provide healthcare facilities, power, schools, good roads and potable water.
