The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN has threatened to shut down filling stations in Oyo and Osun state from the 12th of December if petroleum Market has failed to revert to the former pump price.
IPMAN Chairman, Ibadan depot made this known at its quarterly meeting in Ibadan.

As Nigeria heads towards the yultide period, there seems to be no end in sight to the ongoing scarcity and hike in price of the premium motor spirit, PMS in some parts of the country.
At a meeting held by the Ibadan depot of independent petroleum marketers of
Nigeria, the members lament what they term outrageous prices being incurred to purchase fuel from independent Depot owners.
The marketers are accusing the government of not allowing them to pay
into the NNPC account such that they can be allowed to purchase petroleum at a relatively cheaper price. They want the government to make a
u-turn or risk total shutdown in both Oyo and Osun states.
On activities of tanker drivers during the yultide, the chairman said they are partnering with relevant agencies to forestall the disasters.
The Ibadan depot covers Oyo state, parts of Kwara, Osun, Ekiti, Ondo and Ogun state respectively.
