Image result for justice mahmud mohammedThe Immediate past Chief Justice of Nigeria , Justice Mahmud Mohammad has said that the Independence of the Nigerian judiciary must be guarded jealously, in the interest of the country .

Justice Mohammed gave this advise at a valedictory session held in his honour on Thursday.

It is a gathering of past chief justices of Nigeria, state chief judges, senior advocates of Nigeria, Governor of Taraba state, Dairus Ishaiku and other Government Functionaries.

They are here to bid the outgoing CJN, farewell from the profession.

Before the speech of Justice Mahmud, different speakers, extolled the virtues of the outgoing CJN.

The Body of Senior advocates of Nigeria , took out time to point out the challenges the profession had faced In recent times, and also proffer some solutions.

For the Nigerian Bar Association, it was time for the Judiciary to work towards regaining the confidence of Nigerians

Finally, it was time for the celebrator to deliver his valedictory speech.

He reminded the judges and other judicial officers to be Impartial in the delivery of justice and asked his successor to maintain the reforms which he started.

Other Senior Lawyers also bared their minds on the personality off the immediate past CJN.

Justice Mahmud, who hails from Jalingo in Taraba state, retires as the fifteenth Chief Justice of Nigeria.
