The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has dismissed as false a viral social media claim alleging that it is secretly recruiting new personnel.
In a disclaimer posted on its official X page, the anti-graft agency described the report as “fake news” and cautioned members of the public against believing or sharing the misinformation.
The viral post, which has been circulating on social media, claimed that the EFCC was secretly conducting a recruitment exercise and that successful applicants would begin training next month.

Reacting to the claim, the Commission stamped the message “FAKE NEWS” and declared: “THIS IS FALSE NEWS. BEWARE!”

The EFCC urged Nigerians to disregard the report, stressing that it did not originate from the Commission.
