The impeachment hearing on U.S. President Donald Trump was the first public display of allegations that he abused his powers to seek political favors from the Ukrainian government.
Senior US diplomat in Ukraine, Bill Taylor- one of the witness who testified against Mr Trump on Wednesday, told lawmakers about another conversation when President Trump again voiced his desire to push Ukraine to publicly announce investigations which would give his 2020 campaign a boost.
The conversation allegedly happened on July 26, one day after Trump’s call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, where he pressed Zelensky to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden.
