IGP visits Enugu Command, pledges to prioritise personnel welfare

The inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun says he remains committed to strengthen collaboration with sub nationals to achieve a crime free Society in Nigeria 

He stated this during a 2 -day working visit to Enugu state police  command
Enugu state in recent times has enjoyed relative peace and analysts say, it is not far fetched from how the state government has prioritised massive investment in security, by procuring gadgets, CCTV cameras on major highways, providing DRS among others
The first point of call was the visit of IGP, Kayode Egbetokun to the Governor of the state to reassure police commitment in ensuring safety of lives and property

The host Governor reels out the burning desire of his administration to grow the state economy by 7 folds hence his massive investment in Security
The IGP’s train moved to the South East Traditional rulers Secretariat where he highlighted the importance of Community policing
The First day visit ended at the official visit to the state command as morale booster to personnel serving in the  command, promising to priotise the personnel welfare.
The day one of Inspector General of visit to Enugu is sequel to President Bola Tinubu first official working visit to South East region of Nigeria
IGP Egbetokun reads riot act that the force would not tolerate assault on personnel.
