Sophia Momodu, entrepreneur and mother of singer Davido’s first child, has appealed to fans to stop referring to her as the musician’s wife.
Speaking in a Snapchat video, Momodu said she found it frustrating that people still address her as Davido’s wife despite their separation and the fact that the singer is now married.
She urged fans to respect people’s choices and marriages, stressing that she has moved on with her life and wants to be allowed to do so in peace.
Recalling a recent encounter, she said a content creator hailed her as “Mama Imade, Davido’s wife”, adding that such descriptions were misleading and inappropriate.
“Stop referring to me as Davido’s wife. Let’s respect people’s marriages,” she said, noting that everyone involved had moved on.
