The National Conscience Party (NCP) in Ondo state has urged President Muhammudu Buhari to put in place laws that will check the excesses of herders across the country.
The party’s State chairman and flag bearer in the 2015 governorship election in the state, Abass Obayoriade said it is sad that government has allowed herders’ attacks to degenerate into a full blown crisis.
Also speaking on the issue, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Cyril Egunlaye, urged the Nigerian government to embark on aggressive campaign to reduce incessant clashes of farmers and herders.

According to him, the current clashes can be controlled if government use its political will to punish those behind the clashes.
