The Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, has appealed to the Federal Government to assist the institution with the construction of a proper road network to facilitate its relocation to the permanent site.

The Chairman of the Governing Council Yakubu Datti made the appeal during a recent visit to the school in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

The visit by the Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Ogbomoso, is an assessment tour aimed at evaluating the institution’s management performance in delivering on its core mandates of academic excellence and human capital development.

The Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, was established in 2021 to engage in innovative education, research, and training, for the overall transformation and sustainable development of the nation

Chairman of the Governing Council, Yakubu Dati, who led the delegation on the tour, inspected key facilities, including the Centre for Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development.

He commended the management for the remarkable progress made within just a few years of its establishment, and expressed concern over the deplorable state of the road network leading to the permanent site in Ayede town.

The Rector of the institution expressed optimism about the school’s imminent relocation to its permanent site and called on the host community, government, and stakeholders to rally support in helping the polytechnic fully realize its academic mission and development goals.

The council also commended the Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Ghandi Olaoye, who had earlier visited the institution for his commitment towards ensuring the school relocates to its permanent site and fulfil its core mandate.
