Governor Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, has issued a clear warning to all members of the State Executive Council that adherence strictly to official protocols of the Governors engagements is now non-negotiable.
The Governor, who made this known during an unscheduled stop at the Judiciary Village in Uyo expressed displeasure at the disregard for official procedures by some members of his cabinet.
Governor Eno emphasised that serving as a commissioner is a full-time assignment, not a part-time role.
He warned that defaulters of the laid-down protocols risk immediate removal from office.
In a similar development, the State government in its release signed by the secretary to the state government Prince Enobong Uwah has issued a final warning to EXCO members to desist from such an unwholesome attitude during his Excellency’s appointment as it will not be taken lightly.

The Governor’s remarks underscore his administration’s commitment to order, accountability, and professionalism in the delivery of governance.
Observers say the directive is a step toward deepening efficiency and unity within the Executive Council, in line with the values of the ARISE Agenda.
