The FIFA Best Men’s Player Award is one of the most prominent award shows that recognises the best player in the world for their performances in the previous season.
It sets criteria in both individual contributions to the team, collective team performance, and trophies won in previous seasons.
The Best Football Awards on Thursday, covering top performers from August 2024 to July 2025 in player, coach, and goalkeeper categories for both men and women.
Barcelona leads with multiple men’s player nominations including Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, and Pedri, alongside contenders like Kylian Mbappé and Mohamed Salah, while public voting opened alongside inputs from captains, coaches, journalists, and experts.
The awards, which also feature a fan-voted Men’s 11 and viral moments prize, will culminate in a gala in early 2026.
