FG set to revitalise Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority

The Chairman, Board of Directors of the Ogun/Oshun River Basin Development Authority, Sola Lawal made this known during his inaugural meeting of the board and inspection of some of the facilities of the agency.

TVC News Ogun State Correspondent, Kazeem Olowe reports that it has been stated that part of the plans of the federal government is to commercialize River Basin Development Authorities with a plan to further enhance the internally generated revenue and make each of the river basin
authority self sustaining without compromising its basic agenda.

The Chairman, Board of Directors of the Ogun Oshun River Basin Development Authority, Sola Lawal made this known while highlighting some of the new things the new board will introduce.

He noted that the focus is to use Agriculture and water resources to create wealth in the society, by maximizing the opportunities that can be derived from the both.

Lawal who led members of the board and management team of the River Basin Development Authority on an inspection tour of the facility sitting on 236 hectares of land said both the human and infrastructural potential will be fully harnessed.

He also listed staff welfare and infrastructural development as parts of what will be on priority list of the board.
