The Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism, and the Creative Economy (FMACCE) has entered into a strategic partnership with Lens for Good Initiative to promote Nigeria’s cultural heritage, empower local creatives, and strengthen national identity through storytelling and innovation.
The partnership, formalized on Monday at The Nest Gardens, Guzape, Abuja, seeks to catalyse economic growth in the creative industry while promoting skill development through mentorship, training, and access to digital resources.
Under the collaboration, Nigerian creatives will benefit from capacity-building opportunities in photography, filmmaking, digital storytelling, and content creation. The initiative will also drive flagship film and production projects showcasing Nigeria’s diverse culture and creative excellence.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, the Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism, and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, described the partnership as a significant step towards advancing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda on economic diversification.
“This partnership will nurture the next generation of creative talent, promote authentic Nigerian stories, and reshape global perceptions of our country. Through collaboration with Lens for Good, we are reaffirming our commitment to empowering Nigerian creatives with the resources and opportunities they need to thrive,” said Minister Musawa.
The Lens for Good Initiative will provide training, mentorship, and access to tools that support positive storytelling while promoting Nigeria’s soft power and global image. The partnership is also expected to boost cultural tourism and contribute to the nation’s creative economy.
