The Federal Government has formally launched 112 as a national emergency toll-free number, with one of the call centers in Katsina.

The minister of Communications, Ali Fantami, was in the city, on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The too-free national emergency line will help reach out to emergency responders during distress.
