The Academic Staff Union of Universitirs, Federal University Gusau branch in Zamfara state has joined it’s counterparts across the Country on a peace protest over what they described as failure of the federal government to honour the agreement signed in the past past.
The university lecturers during today’s peaceful demonstration within the school premises says the protest will not affect academic or non academic activities in the school.
Addressing newsmen, the ASUU Chairman, FUG Branch Abdulrahaman appeal to the federal government to do the needful by honoring the signed agreement to avoid further escalation of the issues.
Also the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Mu’azu Abubakar also lend his voice by calling on the federal government to raise to its responsibility.
