The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, has announced the commencement of the court’s 2025 annual vacation, scheduled to run from Monday, 28 July to Tuesday, 16 September 2025.

The court will officially resume sitting on Wednesday, 17 September 2025.

This was made known in an official circular issued in line with the provisions of Order 46, Rule 4 (d) of the Federal High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules 2019.

According to the circular, only the core judicial divisions in Abuja, Lagos, and Port Harcourt will remain open throughout the vacation period to attend to matters of extreme urgency.

Litigants and legal practitioners have been advised to direct urgent cases exclusively to the designated divisions nearest to them.

The appointed Vacation Judges are as follows:

Abuja Division:

  • Hon. Justice Emeka Nwite

  • Hon. Justice M. S. Liman

Lagos Division:

  • Hon. Justice Deinde I. Dipeolu

  • Hon. Justice Musa Kakaki

Port Harcourt Division:

  • Hon. Justice P. M. Ayua

  • Hon. Justice A. T. Mohammed

The Chief Judge, in the circular, extended his best wishes to his fellow Judges for a restful and pleasant vacation.
