Governor Okowa Inspects ongoing projects in Asaba

The Delta State Governor and PDP Vice Presidential Candidate, Ifeanyi Okowa says the state government has obtained 30 billion naira of bridging Finance to complete ongoing projects and pay state and Local Government pensioners for actuarial services.

Governor Okowa disclosed this while inspecting ongoing work at Koka flyover, Stephen Keshi Stadium and Leisure Park.

Koka Flyover project in Asaba, the Delta state capital is meant to decongest traffic during the festive period.

The governor, who expressed satisfaction with the pace of work at the site, wants it completed before December.

The Stephen Keshi stadium and the Leisure Park were his next stop as he inspected various renovations and construction of buildings meant to host the National Sports Festival.

After inspecting some building projects inside the newly Established Dennis Osadebe University, governor Okowa revealed that the state government has only assessed 20 percent of the N150 billion Bridging Finance.

The Governor hopes to complete all outstanding projects before he leaves office in May next year.
