A Kano State High Court has fixed February 13, 2025, to hear all pending preliminary objections in the ongoing case of alleged bribery and misappropriation involving the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, his wife Hafsat Ganduje, and six others.
The Kano State government filed an eight-count charge against the defendants, alleging misappropriation and diversion of public funds amounting to billions of Naira.
During the session, counsel to Ganduje and two others filed motions on notice and affidavits to withdraw or amend applications, while other defense lawyers submitted preliminary objections and affidavits addressing the charges.
The court also heard arguments from various counsels requesting adjournments to make corrections to their filings.
Justice Amina Adamu-Aliyu struck out Ganduje’s application for withdrawal and ruled on related objections raised by the defense. She noted the importance of consolidating the pending preliminary objections for a unified hearing.
The court adjourned proceedings until February 13, 2025, when all preliminary objections will be addressed.
