Team Nigeria will return to action across multiple events on Monday as competition continues at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, with athletics and para-athletics making their debut at the Scotstoun Stadium.

The Nigerian contingent is scheduled to compete in athletics, para-athletics, weightlifting, wrestling and women’s beach volleyball as the country continues its quest for medals.

The day’s action begins at 9:00 a.m. with Edibong Umoafia competing in the men’s weightlifting event, while Favour Ashe takes to the track in the men’s 100m Round One at 10:10 a.m.

Nicholas Fakorede will compete in the men’s 400m hurdles heats at 11:04 a.m., followed by Clinton Opute in the men’s high jump at 11:20 a.m.

Collins Obi Ebingha is also in action in the men’s shot put at 11:23 a.m., while Abdulbaari Adamma competes in the men’s 800m heats at 11:28 a.m.

Dorcas Oka will feature in the women’s 100m hurdles heats at 11:40 a.m., with Oyesade Olatoye contesting the women’s hammer throw final at the same time.

In the afternoon session, Miracle Ezechukwu will compete in the women’s discus throw at 12:42 p.m., while Onome Onidi features in the women’s weightlifting event at 1:00 p.m.

Rafiatu Lawal will represent Nigeria in women’s weightlifting at 3:30 p.m.

The evening programme will see Eucharia Miyazi compete in women’s wrestling at 7:05 p.m., before Team Nigeria’s women’s beach volleyball side takes to the court at 7:30 p.m.

The day’s schedule concludes with Adedapo Opadeji competing in the men’s weightlifting event at 8:00 p.m.
