Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has alleged that the ongoing protests over the Ibadan Circular Road project are politically sponsored against his administration.
The Governor made this known during the commissioning of the Ibadan Central Bus Terminal at Iwo Road, Ibadan.
Makinde noted that for the protest to have continued for three consecutive days, there must be individuals or groups funding it.
He, however, stated that he would not succumb to pressure or engage with the protesters, insisting that he would only visit the project site to interact with what he described as “the real people.”
