First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated one thousand bags of rice to Christians in the southern part of Borno State to support them during the Christmas season and the New Year.

The donation was made to ease economic hardship and help beneficiaries celebrate the festivities with dignity.

The items were received through the Borno State Coordinator of the Christian Northern Nigerian Political Forum, Lami Ibrahim, who flagged off the distribution in Maiduguri.

Mrs. Ibrahim described the gesture as timely and impactful, saying the rice would be distributed across all southern local government areas of the state. She explained that although there were logistical delays, the support remains meaningful as Christmas is a season of goodwill.

She urged those handling the distribution to ensure the items reach the intended beneficiaries.

Also speaking, Reverend Usman Dibal, Resident Pastor of EYN and Chairman of the Tekan and ECWA Bloc, expressed gratitude to the First Lady, describing the donation as a source of renewed hope amid economic challenges.

He said the gesture reflects inclusive governance and reassures Christians that they are not forgotten.

Similarly, a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Buba Gadzama, thanked the First Lady for the support, describing it as a symbol of care and encouragement, while pledging continued support for the Tinubu administration.

The donation adds to ongoing efforts to promote unity, compassion, and shared hope during the festive season in Borno State.
