Boko Haram terrorists have invaded some parts of Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State, and slaughtered an unspecified number of firewood scavengers.
Gwoza was hitherto declared a Boko Haram territory before it was liberated by troops some years ago.
It is located in Southern Borno senatorial district, where Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume hails from.
The communities include Mandara Mountain, Damboa, Biu’s Mandaga Girau, as well as parts of Ngulde and Ngwahi in Askira/Uba local government area; Wajirko village in Damboa.
