Suspected armed bandits have reportedly attacked Bargaja town in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State, killing several residents and abducting one person.
The assault, which occurred on Sunday night, has heightened tension and anxiety within the community amid ongoing security challenges in parts of the state.
Residents said the attackers stormed the town under the cover of darkness, unleashing violence before fleeing with their victim.
Security sources indicated that efforts were underway to track down the perpetrators and restore calm, as concerns grow over recurring incidents in the area.
