Members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Federal University of Technology Minna chapter, have joined the nationwide protest declared by the union.
The demonstration is to press home demands for improved welfare and better working conditions, issues the union says have long threatened the stability of Nigeria’s university system.
Lecturers took to the campus streets in a peaceful march, displaying banners and placards to draw government’s attention to their concerns.
