The Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps (NAOC) has declared one of its personnel, Private Mohammed Yusuf Amutu, wanted over allegations that he illegally sold and supplied military uniforms to terrorists and other criminal elements.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Corps said preliminary investigations showed that the soldier, who was serving at the Nigerian Army Ordnance Kits Factory, absconded from his unit on 3 June 2026.

It said the soldier has since been declared wanted by the appropriate military authorities.

Efforts according to the Army are ongoing to track and arrest him for investigation and possible disciplinary action in line with military laws.
The Army stressed that it maintains zero tolerance for misconduct or any act capable of undermining its operational effectiveness or threatening national security.
It warned that any personnel found to have aided terrorists or other criminal groups through the unauthorised sale, diversion or distribution of military uniforms, accoutrements or other controlled items would face the full weight of military and civil laws.

The Corps appealed to members of the public to provide credible information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect, urging anyone with useful information to report to the nearest military formation or any security agency.
The Army also reaffirmed its commitment to accountability, professionalism and the protection of military assets.
It added that it would continue to strengthen internal controls and ensure that allegations of misconduct are thoroughly investigated.
