The Headquarters 2 Brigade, 2 Brigade Garrison, and other sub-units are scheduled to conduct their First Quarter Range Classification Exercise for the year 2025 at the 6 Bn Range Area in Abak Local Government Area (LGA) from 19th to 28th March 2025.
As a result of the exercise, the residents of Abak LGA of Akwa Ibom State have been requested to avoid the designated exercise area during this period.
According to a Statement by the acting Public Relations Officer of the Brigade, Lieutenant Adebowale Adejimi, residents are advised not to be alarmed by the sound of gunfire.
He added that comprehensive safety and security measures have been put in place at the range area and its surroundings.
He urged members of the public to go about their businesses.
