The State Working Committee of All Progressives Congress (APC)in Adamawa state has commended Malam Nuhu Ribadu for his decision not to continue with court processes against Senator Aisha Dahiru Binani’s Gubernatorial ambition.

The party noted that the action of Mr Ribadu showed sportsmanship and loyalty to the party leadership who doesn’t wish to go into the election as a divided front.

The coast is now clear for the opposition All Progressives Congress in Adamawa State to go into 2023 gubernatorial polls as a united front.

This followed result of the verdict of Court of Appeal that resolved the dispute arising from the governorship primaries

The decision went against the prayers of Mr Ribadu who had called for fresh primaries in the state.

The high court had barred APC from contesting the governorship race.

Mr. Ribadu, who had earlier challenged the judgement of the high Court, has now yielded to pressure from the party not to continue with the legal tussle.

The former Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Chairman, in a letter to the state party leadership, said he decided to allow the status quo remain in the interest of the party unity.

He explained that after consultations with his family, political associates and party leaders at different levels on the next step, he allowed a sense of reason to prevail.

He thanked his well-wishers and teeming supporters who sacrificed a lot and offered unflinching support for the tremendous goodwill and immense supports he received from them over the years.

The party leadership in the state has commended Ribadu for his action.

While other speakers expressed their views in an interview with Tvcnews

The APC has now reunited for the 2023 general polls which political pundits believe may work for in the party.

The litigation against the emergence of Senator Aisha Binani had threatened to make the All Progressives Congress in Adamawa State go through another cycle of election with a divided house.
