Nigerian carrier Air Peace has announced plans to overhaul its regional flight operations by moving all services from overnight schedules to daytime departures, as part of a broader push to deepen air connectivity across Africa.
The airline said the new arrangement will take effect from February 2, 2026, and is designed to make regional travel more convenient for passengers while improving operational efficiency and network reliability.
In addition to the schedule shift, Air Peace disclosed that it will roll out new regional routes before the end of the first quarter of 2026. The proposed destinations include Douala in Cameroon, Libreville in Gabon, Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Conakry in Guinea, Bamako in Mali, and Johannesburg in South Africa.

According to the airline, the move to daytime operations will allow for more competitive timetables that connect smoothly with domestic flights within Nigeria as well as regional and long-haul services.
Air Peace said the revamped structure would strengthen its role as a leading carrier linking Nigeria with West, Central and Southern Africa, while enhancing access from its Lagos hub to major cities across the continent.
The carrier added that the optimized schedules are expected to increase competition among airlines operating out of Lagos, positioning Air Peace as a key driver of intra-African trade, tourism and mobility.
Highlighting the benefits for travellers, the airline noted that the initiative would deliver greater comfort, improved punctuality, better connections to night-time long-haul flights, and stronger support for business, government and leisure travel within the region.
