The Executive Chairman of Agege Local Government, Hon. AbdulGaniyu Vinod Obasa, has taken a significant step to strengthen the council’s legislative arm by sponsoring its lawmakers for an international seminar in the United Kingdom.
Hon. Obasa urged the legislators to “think globally and act locally,” noting that the seminar would broaden their exposure and equip them with the knowledge required to effectively discharge their legislative duties.
At the presentation of certificates of participation, the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Haruna Adeshina, speaking on behalf of other councillors, expressed deep appreciation to the chairman for his continuous support in building their capacity.
He described Hon. Obasa as a leader committed to expanding the knowledge base of others.
Reflecting on the seminar’s them “Leadership, Legislative and Good Governance”—Hon. Adeshina affirmed that the insights gained would go a long way in enhancing their service delivery to the people of Agege Local Government.
