The African Democratic Congress , ADC in Kogi State has reaffirmed the expulsion of its former state chairman, Kingsley Ogga, describing his alleged return to the party as “a figment of his imagination.”

At a stakeholders’ meeting held at Lily Hotel in Lokoja, the State Working Committee insisted that Ogga remains expelled from the party, with his removal ratified as far back as 2022 at the ward, local government, and state levels.

Speaking to journalists after the meeting, the State Public Relations Officer, Hon. Johnson Tayo, said Ogga’s continued claim to party leadership amounts to impersonation, alleging he has been forging signatures to back his false claims. The party called on security agencies to intervene.

The committee also dismissed as laughable the purported suspension of House of Representatives member for Yagba Federal Constituency, Hon. Leke Abejide, by Ogga’s faction, saying no such decision was taken by the party.

“We do not recognize Kingsley Ogga. His expulsion remains valid, and any action taken in the name of the party by him is null and void,” Tayo said.

He added that the party has resolved to recognize Hon. Leke Abejide as the undisputed leader of the ADC in Kogi and at the national level, being the only elected representative of the party across the country.
The Kogi ADC also distanced itself from the Coalition Movement at the national level, stating that it does not reflect the true yearnings of party members and that the state chapter will declare its political direction at the appropriate time.
