Three persons have sustained injuries in a road accident that occurred on Christmas Day along Oda Road in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The victims, who suffered varying degrees of injuries, were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Eyewitnesses reported to TVC News that the accident was caused by the excessive speed of the driver of a car who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, crashing into a couple riding a motorcycle.
