Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) and Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman, has stated that compliance with the Supreme Court’s landmark decision granting financial autonomy to local governments across Nigeria is a given, and that he and his colleagues welcome the ruling.
He spoke to State House Correspondents shortly after meeting with President Bola Tinubu, together with his Bauchi colleagues, Bala Mohammed and Hope Uzodimma.
The NGF Chairman, said the governors are happy with the devolution of power in respect to local government autonomy as it “relieves the burden on governors.”
