Traditional rulers have been urged to continue to support the government in maintaining peace, law and order and facilitate development.
Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun stated this while presenting staff of Office to the new Olu of Orile Imo in Obafemi, Owode local government area.
It has been stated that traditional rulers play a critical role in maintenance of Peace and stability of the society and they must at all times see themselves as agents of development.
This was made known by the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun who was represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ganiyu Hamzat during the installation and presentation of staff of office to Reuben Sogaolu as the new Olu of Orile Imo.
He said the state government believes that the new monarch will further unite the people of the town.
The monarch appreciated God for his support and assured his people of better days ahead.
He commended the Governor of the State and other stakeholders that played active roles in his emergence as the Olu of Orile, Imo.
Politicians and notable sons of the area also shared their expectations of the new monarch.
