Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has ordered the indefinite closure of Dosunmu market in Idumota till further notice.
This comes as the government embarked on an on the spot assessment of the situation after a fire outbreak that burnt about 14 buildings which led to the collapse of 6 structures.
The governor noted that this closure will give government agencies the time and opportunity to come up with a viable solution.
Other streets affected include; Nnamdi Azikwe, Moshalashi, Woro Pedro, Obanikoro, Ago Tawa, Idumagbo Avenue, Idumagbo, Ido – Oluwo, and Oju Olobun.
The move was to prevent loss of lives as well as maintain peace and order in the area
