A Former president of the national Union of petroleum and natural gas workers Frank Kokori has warned the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC not to truncate democracy.
Speaking exclusively with TVC news at his Warri home, he said the organised labour may have been ill-advised to announce an industrial
action just seven days into a new government.
The labour leader advised the NLC and its affiliates to return to the negotiation table and be patient with the Bola Tinubu administration.
The organised labour announced recently that it would embark on a national industrial action from Wednesday June 7th.
According to the former NUPENG President, a strike of economism is usually a 14 days notice.
He cautioned the NLC not to joke with Nigeria’s democracy.
According to him, things that were supposed to have been done by the Jonathan and Obasanjo administration were not done.
He appealed to NLC to suspend any industrial action and dialogue with all stakeholders.
