FG disburses over N2.5bn to families of fallen military personnel

 

The Federal Government has presented cheques to the next of kin of 804 fallen military personnel, under the group life assurance scheme for 2021-2022.

The Minister of Defence Bashir Magashi, who made the presentation, acknowledged that no amount of money can equate the loss of life.

Over 2 billion naira was issued.

Families of fallen military personnel gather at the ministry of defence headquarters Abuja.

They’ve been invited to pick up cheques under the group life insurance scheme for military personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty.

One after the other, the Minister of Defence presents a cheque to each of the next of kin to the deceased.

He understands that no amount of money can take the place of a loved one.

According to the Ministry, 2.5 Billion Naira was disbursed in the exercise.
