Ogun State Government has organised seminar for Stakeholders’ especially those in the environment sector to reduce hazards caused by chemicals and ways of controlling how people handle and expose themselves to chemicals,
The Governor, Dapo Abiodun who was represented by the Secretary to the state Government, Tokunbo Talabi said, the Government understands the high level of usage, storage, handling and transporting of chemicals in the state being the industrial capital of the country, hence the need to equip people with necessary knowledge.
He noted that people in the state must have the knowledge of protective gadgets they are to put on to prevent danger and to know how to dispose chemical wastes.
The Commissioner for Environment in the state, Ola Oresanya said Ogun State will continue to live up to expectations and ensure that the environment is safe for people to live and do their businesses.
