Troops arrest 2 Kidnappers, rescue victims in Akwa Ibom

Troops of 2 Brigade Nigerian Army arrested 2 suspected kidnappers and rescued 5 victims.

The troops, in conjunction with policemen, raided the kidnappers’ den at Abia Palm, Etim Ekpo Local Government Area of the State.

Available report Indicates that the kidnappers hijacked the bus conveying the victims to Ikot Ekpene from Port Harcourt on September 23,2022.

Following the troops invasion of the den, the leader of the kidnapping syndicate, simply identified as Jeam Nas escaped with an AK-47 rifle, while two other members of the syndicate, Imo Nkwo (23) and Thankgod Ezekiel (24) who attempted to escape were immobilized and arrested and their camp set ablaze.

The rescued victims, exhibits and arrested kidnappers had been handed over to the Police for further action.
