Governor of Anambra state, Chukwuma Soludo, has urged the people of the state to observe a one-day prayer session against the activities of gunmen terrorising the state and the South-East region.
He explained that the measure was important to combat the wickedness associated with the Indigenous People of Biafra’s sit-at-home edict.
The governor said that the prayer session will take place in churches and other religious centers around the state on Monday, April 4, 2022.
The prayer session, according to Soludo, was against people who were using the IPOB’s name to wreak havoc in the state.
He addressed a stakeholders’ peace meeting that included security chiefs, traditional rulers, and religious leaders.
“I implore you to halt and join us in fellowship as we seek the face of God,” he urged. The conclusion of the prayer session is expected to mark the end of Sit At Home in Anambra State,” Soludo said.
