Governor of Niger state and Chairman of the North Central States Governors Forum, Abubakar Sani Bello, says negative information about Nigeria’s security concerns has hampered legitimate businessmen’s efforts to invest in the country.
Governor Sani Bello said in a statement released by his chief press secretary Mary Noel Berje that negative publicity about security challenges has harmed many states in the country’s efforts to attract foreign direct or indirect investment, adding that those challenges are currently being successfully addressed by the Federal and State governments.
Governor Sani Bello, who is in Istanbul for a bilateral economic, trade, and investment forum, said the Nigerian government has made considerable progress in resolving insecurity issues, adding that while it will take time to resolve, it should not prevent investors from coming to the country.
