The Commissioners of Health and Executive Secretaries of State Primary Health Care Development Agencies/Boards from APC controlled States say there’s need for APC States to align with Federal Government declaration of 15% annual allocation and release to health care services.
At their meeting in Kwara State, with the theme “Improving Primary Health Care Delivery in APC States”, Identified challenges of primary health care delivery.
Presentations from World Health Organisation Representative in Nigeria identified a requiring responses from government borders on Health Care Financing, Health Infrastructural Development, Human resources for Health care delivery, Quality control, Intersectoral collaboration and Service Delivery.
Resolutions at the meeting indicates that APC States should domesticate Primary Health Care under one roof in line with Federal Government policy initiative under the National Primary Health Care Development Authority.
Also Public health care services should be data driven with the appropriate Information Communication Technology.
