Youths of Shadnayi Community in Karu Local government area of Nasarawa state have staged a protest against the demolition of their houses by the Nasarawa state government.

The state government had demolished the structures over noncompliance with government building procedures.
Addressing newsmen during the protest, the spokesperson of the youth, Iya Kauta said a high court sitting in Mararaba had issued an injunction restraining the state government from embarking on the demolition but they failed to obey.
The youths wants the state government to compensate the affected persons whose houses were demolished.
