The National Association of Nigerian Students has called on the wife of the President, Aisha Buhari to take the lead towards advicating for legistlation to make rape a capital offence with stiffer sanctions.

The Public Relations officer of the apex Students Union body in Nigeria, Azeez Adeyemi made this known while comdemning rape and any form of violence against women.
He called for immediate uncompromised investigation of the incidences recorded recently and wants the wife of the President to mobilize wives of governors and female legislators to campaign against rape and any form of gender based violence.
