The Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye, has turned down his appointment as the Director-General of the PDP Governorship Campaign Council.
Musa Wada, a younger brother of the immediate past governor of the state, clinched the PDP ticket, and will face Yahaya Bello, incumbent governor, who is candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 16 governorship election.
Kola Ologbondiyan, PDP spokesman, had announced that the party appointed Melaye to lead its campaign to displace the APC government in Kogi.
But the lawmaker on Friday, in a post on his twitter handle, announced that he has turned down the offer to lead the governorship campaign against APC and its candidate, Yahaya Bello.
“Let me state categorically that I have turned down the position of Director-General of the PDP Kogi State Governorship Campaign Council. I wish PDP all the best. When truth is a casualty there is chaos. Senator Dino Melaye”
