The acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu is currently in a closed door meeting on the floor of the senate.
The IGP responded to a summon issued last week by Senators over the frightening rise in kidnappings, armed banditry, killings and other violent crimes that has ravaged the country lately.
The summon of the acting IGP was issued in reaction to Senator Shehu Sani’s motion calling the attention of the senate to the Senseless Killing of a Briton and the Abduction of three others in a Resort in Kaduna by Armed Bandits.
