The agency gave the indication at its merit award ceremony in Lagos, where it pledged to provide a leading role that will ensure an all-inclusive administration of the sector.

The event witnessed attendance from notable personalities from the private and public sector and had major industry players calling for the optimization of the country’s maritime potential.

They also observed that the maritime sector has a potentially huge alternative revenue source for the country and charged the agency to initiate global maritime concepts to improve Nigeria’s economic growth.
